WHO
Let us know the size of your group, what the background of the attendees are, the age range, and any information that you think might be useful.
We focus on providing corporate and organizational team building events with a strong moral foundation.
This is a concept taken from the movie The Sand Pebbles (1966).
The USS San Pueblo was a ship sailing the rivers of China at the beginning of the Boxer Rebellion. The ship used Chinese workers to perform all of the tasks on the ship. In exchange for their efforts, the workers would receive a bowl of rice. It was how they survived. If one of the crew decided to do the work himself, this would result in the worker that had been performing that task to lose his bowl of rice.
Most workers in Faith-Based organizations are underpaid, if they are paid at all. They perform their tasks and invest much of their self in their contribution to the organization and the community. If someone threatens their ability to do that job, they are threatening the very core of who that person believes them to be. They become extremely defensive and may lash out in self-defense to protect their rice bowl.
How can we help?
As mentioned, in Faith-Based organizations where usually staff aren't actually being paid for their work, people create areas of control and take intrusions very personally. There's often deep levels of mistrust and these are usually ignored for years, allowing the situation to deteriorate and fester. We can help bring these problems into the light and help the healing to occur.
By understanding each other and knowing each others' goals and aspirations, everyone is in a better position to help each other and to motivate employees.
A group of individuals just isn't as effective as a group working together. We work towards creating something of a unified spirit without losing their individuality.
Often organizations suffer from duplication of effort and micro-management. We assist teams to trust one another more completely.
Having a way to show your appreciate their efforts while utilizing functions that are more acceptable as an expense is vital.
